Costa del Sol

The Costa del Sol, which translates to "Coast of the Sun" in English, gets its name from the abundant sunshine and warm temperatures that are characteristic of the region. The area has a Mediterranean climate, which is characterized by mild winters and hot summers. It receives an average of more than 300 days of sunshine per year, making it one of the sunniest places in Europe. The average temperature is around 20-25ºC (68-77ºF) during the day and 15-20ºC (59-68ºF) during the night. The Costa del Sol's ideal climate, combined with its beautiful beaches and lush vegetation, make it a popular tourist destination for visitors from all over the world.

The name Costa del Sol is usually referred to the region that stretches from Algeciras to Nerja, including the coast of the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz, in Andalusia region, Southern Spain. It's known as one of the most touristy region of Spain, where you can find high-end hotels, resorts and vacation homes, as well as a lively nightlife and a wide variety of recreational activities.
